We do this by growing fruit, vegetables and herbs in our centre garden. We respect and follow culturally appropriate food guidelines as we educate the children about healthy eating and nutrition. Our goal is to nurture happy, healthy children and inspire a lifelong love of learning. A friendly dog and helper come into kinder and teach the children how to safely approach and be around animals. We have footy activities and a footy snack, all whilst supporting cancer research. We are very lucky to have such fun and educational incursions and excursions at Arrabri kindergarten.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week or 600 hours per year, in addition to the Australian Government Childcare Subsidy. We provide a long day care (childcare) program for children between birth to 6 years at our Children and Family Centres. All services under one roof also means that your child's development can easily be supported from early age through to kindergarten without the need for repeat conversations between families and staff.

On average, the cost of child care in Kilsyth South is $131 per day. This breaks down to $131 per day for babies, $142 per day for toddlers and $137 per day for kindergarten. Peninsula Kids is an all day teacher led centre providing child care for local families in Bayswater and Devonport.

From a quick morning hello to the amazing support given when we organise events, fundraisers, and different activities with children. I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 12 years and as a Centre Director for 10 years. I have worked in a range of services both not-for-profit and Outside School Hours care sector in Australia and as a primary and secondary teacher in India since 2001, working with children from birth to 16 years. We are proud of our bush kinder program, which introduces young learners to natural environments and resources. This includes visits to Chesterfield farms, growing our own vegetables and using them in meals, and participating in council incentives such as planting trees.
We have an experienced food coordinator who prepares all meals in accordance with Australian dietary guidelines, using fresh ingredients delivered under our strict food safety program. Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We can also refer to mental health support programs for families if you find yourself in need of assistance.
