Our holistic and flexible educational programs focus on children’s interests, individual strengths and learning through play. At Happy Valley Early Learning Centre we are thrilled to be collaborating with Reggio Exchange to enhance our pedagogical approach. Using a self-guided curriculum, children are allowed to express themselves in different ways as they develop their personality. Activities such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and drama are encouraged, as these are all seen as “languages” children use. By allowing children to engage in meaningful learning experiences, the Reggio Emilia approach helps to instil a love of learning, enhances early education and prepares children for the transition into school.

Our 4 -5 yeah old Kinder program offers a blend of teacher-initiated and playbased activities tailored to each child’s needs, interests, and choices. Banyule City Council accepts the invitation of the Uluru Statement from the Heart and supports a First Nations Voice to Parliament enshrined in the Australian Constitution. If your child becomes unwell while at the centre, teachers will make them comfortable and ask you to pick them up. If you’re not available, they’ll call one of the other contacts listed on your enrolment form.

We are committed to involving families and communities in our efforts to keep children safe. You’ll get plenty of information in advance and have opportunities to ask questions. The centre will also need your written permission before your child can take part. MCH nurses help local families with parenting, child health and development, mothers’ health and family well-being. We provide a free service for all families with children from birth to school age.
Our gymnastics school offers a range of programs for preschool and school-age children, teenagers and adults. That’s 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, delivered by a Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher, offering continued high quality learning, ensuring your child has all the foundations in place in preparation for school. Each room in our center offers educationally appropriate and engaging programs tailored to meet the needs of both the group and the individual child. We focus on supporting the holistic development of each child—physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, creatively, and morally.
