The East Coast of Taiwan is challenging to get around by public transportation. I highly recommend renting a car because you will want to swing by and take photos of so many scenic spots. It would be good for non Taiwanese to make their order if they put on English menu too. I actually want to try many different foods but no idea what and how to order. This place is super scenic and I highly recommend anyone visiting Taitung to stop here. There are no shops but there are toilets at this scenic view point.

If you’re on a budget, you don’t actually have to buy Taipei 101 merchandise from Taipei 101 itself!

There are plenty of places where you can sample this delicious food. One of the most popular aboriginal food in Taitung is Ah-Bai . There you can camp by the beach at Jimmy Explorer Campsite and arrange for a diving trip. Among the many things to do in Taitung, trying the aboriginal food is a must! Usually made of wild boar or dear and a range of plants you’ve never heard about, the food in Taitung is usually really tasty and different from the more classical Taiwanese food. If you want to try the aboriginal cuisine head for Mi Ba Nai in Taitung city or Luolei restaurant which also offers traditional music performances.
